Mallika Sagar will continue as the auctioneer at the 2025 mega auction in Jeddah on November 24-25.
Mallika Sagar will wield the gravel to conduct conduct the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction in Jeddah on November 24 and 25.
The 49-year-old had replaced Hugh Edmeades as the auctioneer for the IPL 2024 mini auctions after conducting Women’s Premier League (WPL) auction. Mallika been part of auctions for other sports like the Pro Kabaddi League as well where she was the first woman to conduct the auctions for PKL, juts like in the IPL.
The 10 franchises will collectively have around Rs 641.5 crore to spend for 204 slots that are available. Out of those 204 slots, 70 are earmarked for overseas players.
As of now, 46 players have been retained by the 10 franchises with cumulative expenditure of Rs 558.5 crore.
A total of 1,574 players – 1,165 Indian and 409 overseas – have signed up to be part of the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. The list includes 320 capped players, 1,224 uncapped players, and 30 players from Associate Nations.
