Shami, who is making his Champions Trophy debut for India on Thursday, picked his first wicket on the last ball of the first over of the match. On the second ball of his fourth over, Shami dismissed Mehidy Hasan Miraz, and then on the fourth ball of the 43rd over of the Bangladesh innings, Shami got rid of Jaker Ali, who scored 68 runs from 114 balls.

Jaker was caught by Virat Kohli, and his dismissal helped Shami become the second-fastest bowler to take 200 wickets in ODIs and also break Zaheer Khan’s record to become India’s most successful bowler in ICC white-ball tournaments.
