Shami bowled a total of 19 overs for Bengal in the first inning of the ongoing Ranji Trophy Elite Group C match against Madhya Pradesh and picked up 4 wickets for 54 runs.
In his first competitive match since playing for India in the ODI World Cup 2023 final against Australia, star Indian pacer Mohammed Shami picked up four wickets for Bengal. In the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024-25 Elite Group C match at Holkar Stadium in Indore, Shami ran through MP’s batting unit and registered figures of 4 for 54 in 19 overs. Thanks to his brilliant performance with the ball, Bengal managed to dismiss the hosts for 167 runs in 59 overs and take a massive lead of 61 runs.
Shami bowled 10 overs for Bengal in the third session of the first day’s play but failed to take any wicket. However, he was at some other level on Thursday (November 14) and helped his side make a super comeback in the match.
