MS Dhoni will captain Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2025 match against Mumbai Indians on Sunday (April 20). The match between the two most successful teams in IPL history is set to take place at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. On the eve of the big match, Dhoni batted in the CSK net session at the iconic stadium, and during that, he playfully ran towards his former CSK and India teammate Deepak Chahar to hit him with the bat.
Chahar, after playing in the IPL for CSK from 2018 to 2024, joined MI in the mega auction last year for Rs 9.25 crore. He tried to poke Dhoni cheerfully during the pre-match net session, after which Dhoni marched towards him with the bat in an attempt to hit him playfully.
The video of the hilarious moment between the two was shared by CSK on X, and within no time, the clip went viral on the internet.
After the conclusion of the CSK-MI IPL 2025 match in Chennai on March 23 as well, Dhoni playfully hit Chahar with the bat.
