Looks like the Christmas spirit has hit the Dhoni household in full swing! Former India captain MS Dhoni celebrated the festive season in the most adorable way – dressed as Santa Claus. While the cricketing legend keeps a low profile on social media, his wife, Sakshi, made sure to give fans a glimpse of the celebrations.
Mrs Dhoni shared cosy family pictures on Instagram, featuring Dhoni and their daughter, Ziva.
But wait, there’s more! As per several media reports, Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon also joined the celebrations with MS & Sakshi. She posted several pictures from the party, and one showed a Santa lookalike who fans are convinced is none other than Captain Cool himself!
MS Dhoni to return in IPL 2025
The buzz around MS Dhoni’s return in IPL 2025 is already setting the cricketing world alight. The former skipper has been retained by the franchise as an uncapped player. Dhoni handed over CSK captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad before the start of IPL 2024 and played the entire season where he scored 161 runs at a strike-rate of 220.55. He would generally come out to bat when not many deliveries were left but made a lot of impact in the 73 deliveries he faced.
At an event in Hyderabad this month, the former CSK skipper spoke on playing in the IPL and he would wait for the player regulations before taking the call.
“There is a lot of time for it. We have to see what decision they take on player retention etc. Right now, the ball is not in our court. So, once the rules and regulations get formalised, I will take a call but needs to be in the best interest of the team,” Dhoni had said.
