Peshawar Zalmi were bundled for 136 while chasing 216 in the tournament opener against Quetta Gladiators. Peshawar Zalmi ultimately lost the high-scoring clash by 102 runs.
Multan Sultans, who became the runners-up last season, are also waiting for their first win of PSL 2025. Despite scoring 234 in the first match, Multan suffered a four-wicket defeat to Karachi Kings. In the second game, Mohammad Rizwan and his men fell 47 runs short while chasing 203 against Islamabad United.
