Mumbai Indians (MI) duo Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah have taken the internet by storm by channeling their sartorial prowess on social media.
The Indian cricketers, known for their on-field records and achievements, are often equally impressive with their fashion choices. Sometimes, their stylish avatars can give Bollywood stars a run for their money.
Proving the claims in a recent post by Pandya, the MI captain was captured posing in an all-black ensemble alongside his IPL teammate Bumrah, who also rocked a same-colour suit.
The pair exuded royalty and sophistication, standing in the backdrop of a vintage bookshelf. Another frame showed them standing on stairs with one hand in a pocket. Pandya posted those pictures on X (formerly Twitter) with the sidenote – ‘Brought the drip.’
With Pandya in charge, Mumbai Indians have managed two wins in their six matches so far in IPL 2025. Jasprit Bumrah missed the first few games of the season due to fitness concerns before joining the squad ahead of a home fixture against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
The ace Indian pacer went wicketless at Chinnaswamy, with the hosts beating Mumbai by 12 runs in a high-scoring thriller. Pandya chipped in with a 42-run cameo off just 15 balls but failed to complete the chase of 222.
Mumbai bounced back brilliantly in the following game against Delhi Capitals. The five-time champions batted first and posted 205, losing five wickets in 20 overs. Tilak Varma top-scored with 59 while Ryan Rickelton and Suryakumar Yadav made their presence felt in the top order. Naman Dhir also made some valuable contributions, scoring an unbeaten 38 off 17 deliveries.
Karun Nair stole the show in the second innings. Coming in as an impact player, the 33-year-old struck 89 at a 200-plus strike rate. His blazing knock comprised 12 boundaries and five sixes.
After Nair was dismissed by Mitchell Santner, Delhi faced a batting collapse and ended up losing the match by 12 runs. For Mumbai, Karn Sharma wrapped up with a three-wicket haul, while Santner took two. Jasprit Bumrah and Deepak Chahar each picked one scalp.
Mumbai is currently seventh in the IPL standings. They will next face Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 17 at home.
