Sporting an all-white traditional attire, Nitish Kumar Reddy was recently seen paying obeisance at Tirupati temple.

After making his Test debut for the Indian cricket team, Nitish Kumar Reddy visited Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirupati. Having featured in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Reddy received a rousing reception on his return to his hometown Visakhapatnam. Sporting an all-white traditional attire, Reddy recently paid obeisance at Tirupati temple. On Instagram, Reddy shared a couple of pictures of his temple visit. In one of the photos, the all-rounder can be seen sitting cross-legged on the floor with folded hands offering prayers and seeking the blessings of lord Venkateswara. “Couldn’t have asked for a better way to start the year. Seeking the blessings of Lord Venkateswara in Tirupati,” read the post shared by Reddy on Instagram.

On Monday Nitish Kumar Reddy visited Tirupati Temple and shared a video of him climbing the stairs of the temple on his knees.

Nitish Kumar Reddy made his Test debut against Australia in Perth on November 22 and emerged as the top-scorer in the first innings. In the pink-ball Test, played from December 6 to 8 at Adelaide Oval, Reddy was the top scorer for India in both innings. In the first innings of the Boxing Day Test, the 21-year-old scored a remarkable century, coming out to bat at number eight for the visitors.

Following the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Nitish Kumar Reddy expressed his feelings about the series against Australia. “From setting alarms to watch Test matches in Australia to gaining a firsthand sense of the Australian shores, the last two months have been nothing short of an opportunity to grow, as a player and a person too. Not the way we wanted to end the series. We’ll be back, tougher and stronger,” read the Instagram post shared by Reddy on Instagram.

Nitish Kumar Reddy scored 298 runs at an average of 37.25 in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He was India’s second-highest run-scorer in the series. Reddy claimed five wickets in 44 overs, with his best figures being 2/32 in the Test series against Australia.

In white-ball cricket, Nitish Kumar Reddy made his debut against Bangladesh in October last year during a T20I game. He has so far played in three T20Is scoring 90 runs at a strike rate of 180. Reddy has three wickets to his name in T20Is.
