Royal Challengers Bengaluru wanted to retain four players ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auctions but had to remain satisfied with three as Cameron Green picked up an injury which will keep him out of action for six months. RCB director of cricket Mo Bobat confirmed that the Australian allrounder will miss the next IPL season and had it not been the case, he would have been among their retained players.

“There was one other player we certainly would have retained. That’s Cameron Green, but he’s unfortunately out of the IPL due to injury,” Bobat said on Thursday.
