The legendary Australian opening batter, David Warner shared a post on his official Instagram handle (Stories) to express his excitement to see Safaraz notch his first Test hundred.
Day 4 of the opening Test between India and New Zealand was centred around Sarfaraz Khan, who achieved his maiden Test century at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday.
The cricketing fraternity, including non-Indian members, was delighted to witness the 26-year-old make his mark in international cricket after working hard in the domestic circuit for Mumbai.

“So much hard work. Awesome to see this,” Warner wrote in his post.
Warner had reuploaded a post by the Delhi Capitals which said, Raat ko waqt do guzarne ke liye. Sooraj apne hi samay pe niklega. (Give the night some time to pass, the sun will rise in its own time)
Sarfaraz’s knock comes at a crucial point in the game where India is aiming to fight back after a horrendous first-innings display with the bat. Despite the interruptions due to rain, India has once again showcased their mettle to come back into the game as the New Zealand bowlers are struggling to take wickets regularly.
The right-handed batter came out at number four for the first time in his international career and just like in the domestic stage, he has once again shown why he is one for the future and can become one of the best in the business in the years to come.
While Sarfaraz reached triple figures, Rishabh Pant who was on the other end also reached his half-century as the wicketkeeper-batter continues to showcase his best form since his return to international cricket. Despite an injury concern the previous day, he came out to bat at an important stage for the Indian team and the two racked up a partnership worth 113 runs in 132 balls.
With rain, halting the day’s play for the moment, India is just 12 runs behind and will hope that they can get as much time as possible to ensure they register a big enough total to help secure the win.
