The Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain, Rajat Patidar now finds himself in a rare list of players after his quickfire knock in the rain-curtailed fixture against Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League clash at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Friday.
Patidar now scored over 1000 runs for the franchise, making him the third Indian to reach the feat after Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal. These three are the only Indian batters to have reached quadruple-digits in the run-scoring tally for the franchise, showcasing just how tough it has been for the batters over the years.
Since coming in as a replacement for Luvnith Sisodia in 2021, the stylish batter has not looked back and has taken the captaincy duties well for the franchise. Like Padikkal, Patidar now finds himself in a key position for the franchise.
Leading the Bengaluru-based unit, the MP player has been able to get a roaring start to their campaign, having won four games out of six. But the batting star will look to end their wait for a win in front of his home fans.
