Sneh Rana comes into RCB in place of Shreyanka Patil (X)
Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Saturday drafted in Sneh Rana as a replacement for injured Shreyanka Patil for the remainder of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025.
As reported by CricketNext on Friday, it is speculated that Patil suffered from an injury before the WPL itself, and was unable to recover in time for her campaign with RCB.
The league then released a statement on Saturday, naming all-rounder Sneh Rana as the replacement for Patil.
“Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Saturday picked Sneh Rana as a replacement for Shreyanka Patil for the remainder of the TATA Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025,” the official statement from WPL read.
“Shreyanka, who has played 15 matches for RCB and has scalped 19 wickets, is ruled out of the third edition of the TATA WPL due to an injury.”

RCB kicked off their WPL campaign with a historic win against Gujarat Giants, chasing down the first-ever 200+ target in WPL history.
Wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh’s stunning 64 (27) and Ellyse Perry’s 57 (34) helped Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) chase 202 against the Gujarat Titans in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 opener last night.
Their batting show triumphed over one of the greatest all-round performances in T20 cricket by Giants skipper Ashleigh Gardner, who scored 79 (37) in the first innings and picked out both RCB openers in her first over in the second. But her efforts meant the match was worthy of a curtain-raiser for the 2025 season.
