Rishabh Pant will lead Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2025. The 27-year-old Indian wicketkeeper-batter was announced as LSG’s captain by franchise owner Sanjiv Goenka on Monday, January 20. Pant was signed by the Lucknow-based franchise for Rs 27 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction. Pant has served as Delhi Capitals captain in the past. He led the Delhi-based franchise in IPL 2021, 2022, and 2024.
Pant will be the fourth player to captain LSG in the IPL. Before him, KL Rahul, Krunal Pandya, and Nicholas Pooran had captained Lucknow Super Giants in the world’s richest franchise cricket league.
