Rohit Sharma won all 11 T20Is played as India captain in 2024 and the 37-year-old right-handed batter also top-scored for India in T20 World Cup 2024.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma, all-rounder Hardik Pandya, and star fast bowlers Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah were on Saturday, January 25, included in the ICC Men’s T20I Team of the Year 2024. Rohit top-scored for India in the T20 World Cup 2024 and played a big role in helping the Men in Blue end their 17-year-long wait for a second T20 world title. Under his leadership, India won all 11 T20Is played last year, and he also became the first captain in the world to win the T20 World Cup title with a 100% win record.
Bumrah played in all eight matches of the T20 World Cup 2024 and picked up 15 wickets. For his super show with the ball, the 31-year-old fast bowler won Player of the Tournament award as well.
Arshdeep, on the other hand, finished as the joint-leading wicket-taker in the T20 World Cup 2024. In eight matches he accounted for the dismissal of 17 batters. The left-arm pacer, who has 97 wickets to his name in 61 T20Is played so far, is also in the race to win the ICC Men’s T20I Player of the Year 2024 award.
Arshdeep, who made his T20I debut for India against England in Southampton on July 7, 2022, played 18 matches last year and dismissed 36 batters.
Hardik played 17 matches and scored 352 runs in addition to taking 16 wickets. The 31-year-old all-rounder from Baroda picked up three wickets for India in the T20 World Cup 2024 final played against South Africa, which was played at Kensington Oval in Barbados on June 29, 2024.
Australian batter Travis Head, England wicketkeeper Phil Salt, Pakistan’s Babar Azam, Zimbabwe all-rounder Sikandar Raza, Sri Lanka all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga, and Afghanistan’s T20I captain Rashid Khan are the other three players who, after impressing with their performances in T20Is last year, earned a place in the ICC’s team.
