Shubman Gill has said there have been ‘no discussions’ regarding Rohit Sharma’s retirement in the Indian dressing room or with him ahead of the 2025 Champions Trophy final against New Zealand on Sunday.
There has been a lot of speculation about Rohit’s future. The Indian skipper is 37 and the next ICC ODI tournament, the World Cup, is still two years away. The rumors heated up further when Rohit was seen having long conversations with Virat Kohli and Gill ahead of the final.
“No discussion in the dressing room or with me,” Gill said in the pre-match press conference. “Even Rohit bhai would be thinking about Champions Trophy final, like all of us. So nothing like that now.”
