After splashing Rs 37 crore to retain three Indian players from the 2024 squad, RCB will ‘almost start’ from scratch once again in the IPL 2025 mega auction, which is scheduled to take place in Jeddah on November 24 and 25, to end the 17-year-long wait for an IPL title next year.

RCB’s Costliest Player in Retention List
RCB has splashed out Rs 21 crore to retain Virat Kohli ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auctions. The 35-year-old Indian cricketer has been associated with RCB since the start of the cash-rich league. He is the RCB’s most capped player in the IPL and also holds the record for scoring most runs, sixes, centuries, and fifties for the franchise.
In the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League, Kohli played all 15 matches and, with the help of one century and five fifties, scored 743 runs to top the run scorers list and win the Orange Cap.
