Rajasthan Royals vs Kolkata Knight Riders IPL 2025 Probable Playing XI, Impact Players, and Tactical Matchups: Rajasthan Royals will face defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders in the sixth match of IPL 2025 on Wednesday (March 26). The first home match of the 18th season of the world’s richest franchise cricket league for the inaugural edition winners is scheduled to take place at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. The Royals suffered an embarrassing defeat by 44 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the last match played on Sunday. In that fixture, Royals concede 286 runs in 20 overs, and their bowlers would like to come up with a better performance than that on Wednesday.
On the other hand, Knight Riders will also be eager to bounce back from the shocking seven-wicket defeat against RCB and get their campaign back on track. In the match against RR, KKR will have high expectations from its middle-order trio of Rinku Singh, Andre Russell and Ramandeep Singh, who failed to fire against the Bengaluru-based franchise.
RR’s likely playing XI
The Royals, despite losing the first match against SRH, are unlikely to make any changes to the playing XI for the game against KKR. Jofra Archer conceded 76 runs against SRH, but the team management is likely to back him and give him one more chance. There is a possibility of including Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga in the playing XI because he can contribute with the bat as well, but who makes way for him remains to be seen.
The inaugural edition winners will also hope Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag and Nitish Rana score big runs against KKR after a below-par performance against the Orange Army.

KKR’s likely playing XI
Quinton de Kock is all set to continue as an opener for KKR along with Sunil Narine, followed by Ajinkya Rahane at No. 3 and Venkatesh Iyer at 4. Rinku, Russell and Ramandeep, after a below-par outing against RCB, will also be eager to produce a big show with the bat on Wednesday, but KKR bowlers need to step up.
Varun Chakaravarthy, Vaibhav Arora and Harshit Rana looked clueless against Virat Kohli and Phil Salt in the last match. The team management could include Anrich Nortje in the playing XI on Wednesday in place of Spencer Johnson to strengthen the bowling attack.
