Indian batters Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma both made blistering centuries in the 4th and final T20I against South Africa at the Wanderers Stadium on Friday.

Team India opted to bat first after having won the toss and opened the innings with Samson and Abhishek Sharma.

The duo got the men in blue off to a brisk start as they put up 73 runs in the powerplay before Abhishek lost his wicket to Lutho Sipamla as Heinrich Klaasen caught the southpaw behind the wicket after the youngster had added 36 runs off just 18 deliveries.
Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav yet again promoted Tilak up the order as he came in to replace his fellow left-hander.
Samson and Tilak took the game to the South African bowling attack as they decimated the Protea seamers and spinners. The hosts were unable to contain the Indian duo as Samson and Tilak belted delivery after delivery over the ropes with absolute ease.
Tilak and Samson remained unbeaten through the innings as they concluded the permitted quota of batting overs at 120 runs and 109 runs respectively.
The manner in which the Indians approached the game was incredible as they smashed 23 sixes in the innings, with 10 of them coming off Tilak’s bat and 9 from Samson’s willow.
Strikingly the visitors also added 17 fours with Tilak leading the line again with 9 boundaries, while Smason added 6.
The onslaught from the batter helped India to a mammoth total of 283 runs for the loss of just the solitary wicket as the tourists smashed multiple records on the day.
