Star Pakistani fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi created history on Tuesday, December 10, by becoming the first bowler from his country and fourth overall in the world to take 100 wickets in all three formats of the game. The left-arm pacer achieved the feat during the first T20I of the ongoing three-match series between Pakistan and South Africa, which was played at Kingsmead in Durban. Shaheen finished the match with figures of 3 for 21 in four overs. The three-wicket haul in the series opener helped him complete 100 dismissals in T20Is.
Shaheen, who made his international debut for Pakistan in Karachi on April 3, 2018, has 116 wickets to his name in 31 Tests, 112 wickets in 56 ODIs, and 100 wickets in T20Is.

Shaheen opened his wicket account on Tuesday by getting rid of Rassie van der Dussen on the third ball of the match. The right-handed batter was clean bowled for a golden duck by the star left-arm pacer. The 24-year-old cricketer then accounted for the dismissal of David Miller, who scored 82 runs from 40 balls. Miller was caught by Irfan Khan, and the left-handed batter’s dismissal helped Shaheen overtake his father-in-law Shahid Afridi (98) in the list of bowlers with the most wickets for Pakistan in T20Is.
Shaheen became the third Pakistani bowler to take 100 wickets in T20Is when he dismissed Nqabayomzi Peter. Peter was trapped in front of the wickets by Shaheen on the last ball of the 16th over.
