Australia world cup winning captain Pat Cummins has become father for the second time.

Australian cricket captain Pat Cummins’s wife Becky took to social media to announce the birth of their second child, a baby girl named Edith.
“She’s here. Our beautiful baby girl, Edi ???? words can’t describe how overjoyed & full of love we feel right now,” She posted on Instagram.

Pat Cummins and Becky were blessed with their son Albie in 2021.
Cummins is currently on a paternity leave as Australia are on a Test tour of Sri Lanka.
The World Cup-winning Aussie captain had encouraged work-life balance for cricketers ,saying :”I missed a big chunk [of son Albie’s early days] last time and I want to work out how we can spend a bit more time at home for that initial period this time around.”
“Within reason, no one is ever going to bat an eyelid if someone needs to put their family first,” he had said.
“We’re playing cricket, it’s not the end of the world, so we want people to have long, successful careers for Australia, and you can’t just ask them to put their life on hold to go tour the world and forget about everything else. We’re pretty open when it comes to family,” he added.
Cummins has not recovered from the ankle niggle that plagued him towards the end of the recent Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test series against India and will miss the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
