Since making his T20I debut for India against Bangladesh in Delhi on November 3, 2019, Shivam Dube has played 35 matches and has won the last 30 games in a row in the shortest format.

Star Indian all-rounder Shivam Dube created history on Sunday, February 2, by becoming the first player in the world to win 30 T20I matches in a row. The 31-year-old all-rounder from Mumbai, who made his T20I debut for India against Bangladesh in Delhi on November 3, 2019, has played 35 T20Is so far. In his first match, India went down by 7 wickets against the Mahmudullah-led side at Arun Jaitley Stadium, and in his fifth T20I, India suffered a defeat by 8 wickets against Bangladesh at Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. But since then, India has not lost a T20I match in which Dube has featured.
He was part of the Indian team that whitewashed New Zealand 5-0 in January 2020 and played all five matches. Dube featured in the playing XI of 15 T20I matches in 2024, which included eight in the T20 World Cup, and won all of them. He wasn’t initially picked in the squad for the recently concluded five-match series against England but was added as a replacement for Nitish Kumar Reddy on January 25. Dube played the last two matches and helped India win both by playing crucial knocks with the bat and taking two wickets as well with the ball in his quota of two overs during the fifth T20I played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on February 2, 2025.
The official X handle of Dube’s IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings shared a post on Monday to congratulate him on achieving the special feat. “If Dube plays, India wins. 30-0 and still going strong #WhistlePodu #INDvENG,” it captioned the picture, the text of which read, “Longest streak without defeat in men’s T20Is! 30-0. Since 11/12/2019.”
In 35 T20Is for India, Dube has come out to bat on 26 occasions, and with the help of four half-centuries, he has amassed a total of 531 runs. His best score in T20Is for India is 63 not out from 32 balls against Afghanistan at Holkar Stadium in Indore on January 13, 2024.
Dube has also picked up 13 wickets in 24 innings for India in T20Is, and his best figures are 3 for 30 in four overs against Bangladesh during the match played at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur on November 10, 2019.
