South Africa vs Sri Lanka 2nd Test Live Streaming: With a resounding victory in Durban, South Africa have taken a 1-0 lead in the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka. The Proteas bowlers were at the top of their game as they bundled out Sri Lanka for 42 runs in the first innings. The visitors had to chase a mammoth target of 516 runs to win the series opener. They, however, managed only 282 runs as the match ended on Day 4. Sri Lanka will be desperate to bounce back in the second Test, slated to begin on December 5 at the St George’s Oval in Gqeberha.
The pitch at Durban looked a bit tricky on the first two days. Not only Sri Lanka, but the South African batters also struggled. Captain Temba Bavuma was the standout performer for the home side and stepped up with a vital 70-run knock. Powered by his contributions, South Africa posted 192 runs.
Sri Lanka faced a rare batting collapse, with Kamindu Mendis being the only batter who scored in double digits. Marco Jansen fetched a seven-wicket haul, bowling only 6.5 overs. From the batting perspective, South Africa improved a lot in the second innings.
Bavuma once again appeared in sublime form and registered 113 runs. Tristan Stubs also struck a century, scoring 122 off 221 balls. For Sri Lanka, Dinesh Chandimal and Dhananjaya de Silva made commendable efforts during the chase.
