Star Australian batter Steve Smith on Friday, December 27, broke former England Test captain Joe Root’s record of scoring the most Test centuries against India. Smith, who is Australia’s fourth-leading run scorer in Test cricket, completed his 11th Test century against India on Friday, which helped him take the No. 1 position in the list of batters with the most Test centuries vs. India.
Smith has slammed 11 centuries and five fifties in 23 Tests played so far against India. On the other hand, Root, who sits at the No. 1 position in the ICC Test batter’s ranking, has 10 centuries and 11 fifties in 30 Tests vs. India.
