One must have heard about the difficult physical and financial circumstances former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli is facing. According to some reports about Kambli’s financial situation, the former cricketer has been without a phone for the past six months.
Reports suggested that Kambli, who was using an iPhone, was unable to pay Rs 15,000 repair fee. As a result, the shopkeeper took the phone.
Vinod Kambli is currently receiving treatment at Aakriti Hospital in Thane. Doctors’ examinations revealed blood clots in Kambli’s brain and a urinary tract infection. While his overall health has improved, doctors have expressed surprise at a decrease in his memory function. However, Dr Dwivedi believes Kambli’s memory can be restored to 80-90% of its previous capacity.
Former cricketer Vinod Kambli lacked the financial resources required for the treatment of his health issues. However, it has been reported that numerous individuals have since offered their support, enabling Kambli to receive medical attention. Consequently, his health has shown improvement.
It has been revealed that former Indian cricketer, Vinod Kambli, aged 52, has not used his iPhone for the last six months. When a bill of 15,000 rupees for repairs to the phone was issued, Kambli was unable to pay. It is alleged that the shopkeeper then confiscated the phone.
According to reports, Kambli, once possessing a net worth of Rs 13 crore, now relies on pension from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to support his family’s expenses. BCCI provides him with a monthly pension of Rs 30,000.
Kambli’s wife, Andrea Hewitt, recently disclosed that their housing society is pursuing her for Rs 18 lakh in unpaid maintenance fees. While a political party offered Rs 5 lakh in assistance, the sum remains insufficient to settle the dues.
Despite these difficulties, Vinod Kambli has maintained a positive attitude, even being seen dancing in hospital. He attributes his resilience to the support of his fans and loved ones, stating that they have been instrumental in his life’s journey.
