Virat Kohli’s first Ranji Trophy match for Delhi after more than 12 years is currently underway at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi against Railways.
Virat Kohli is playing a Ranji Trophy match for his domestic side, Delhi, after more than 12 years, on Thursday, January 30. And for his first Ranji Trophy appearance since November 2012, more than 15,000 fans have gathered at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) had planned free entry for 10,000 fans, but fans exceeded everyone’s expectations.
Kohli, who enjoys huge fan following around the globe, was surprised by the record gathering, and he acknowledged fans gesture for him during the morning session of the ongoing Elite Group D match against Railways. In a video shared by BCCI Domestic’s official X handle, Kohli can be seen waving his hand to thank his fans.
The match against Railways at Arun Jaitley Stadium is a must-win for Delhi in order to keep its chances alive of reaching the knockouts.
