RCB’s strongest playing XI for IPL 2025: Royal Challengers Bengaluru entered the IPL 2025 mega auction with a purse of Rs 83 lakh after retaining three players: Virat Kohli (Rs 21 crore), Rajat Patidar (Rs 11 crore), and Yash Dayal (Rs 5 crore). In the mega auction, RCB signed the likes of Liam Livingstone, Phil Salt, Tim David, and Josh Hazlewood, in addition to Jitesh Sharma, Krunal Pandya, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Phil Salt: RCB signed England’s wicketkeeper-batter Phil Salt for Rs 11.50 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction. The right-handed batter who has played for DC and KKR in the past has 653 runs to his name in 21 IPL matches. He played a big role in KKR’s title win last year, and RCB fans will hope to maintain his red-hot form in the IPL 2025.
Virat Kohli: Virat Kohli has scored more than 8000 runs in the IPL. He finished as the leading run scorer in IPL 2024 and was retained for Rs 21 crore by the Bengaluru-based franchise ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction.
Rajat Patidar: RCB retained Madhya Pradesh batter Rajat Patidar for Rs 11 crore ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction after he scored 395 runs in the 2024 edition of the cash-rich league. Overall, he has 799 runs to his name in 27 IPL matches.
Liam Livingstone: Liam Livingstone has 939 runs and 11 wickets to his name in 39 IPL matches played so far for two teams. The 31-year-old England all-rounder was signed for Rs 8.75 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction.
Krunal Pandya: Krunal Pandya will play for RCB in IPL 2025 after he was signed for Rs 5.75 crore by the Bengaluru-based franchise. Krunal has played for MI and LSG in the past and has 1647 runs and 76 wickets to his name.
Jitesh Sharma (WK): RCB signed Indian wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma for Rs 11 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction. Jitesh has played 40 IPL matches so far and has 730 runs to his name.
Tim David: Tim David will play for RCB in IPL again. The Australian batter was signed for Rs 4 crore by the Bengaluru-based franchise in the IPL 2025 mega auction.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar: Bhuvneshwar Kumar was signed for Rs 10.75 crore by RCB in the IPL 2025 mega auction. Bhuvneshwar is a two-time Purple Cap winner in IPL and has 181 wickets to his name in 176 matches played so far.
Rasikh Dar Salam: Rasikh Dar Salam will play for RCB in IPL 2025 after he was signed for Rs 6 crore in the mega auction. The 24-year-old cricketer from Jammu & Kashmir has played for three teams in the past and has 9 wickets to his name in 11 matches.
Josh Hazlewood: RCB signed Josh Hazlewood for Rs 12.50 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction. The 33-year-old right-arm medium pacer has 35 wickets to his name in 27 IPL matches played so far for two teams.
Yash Dayal: Yash Dayal was the leading wicket-taker for RCB in IPL 2024, and he was retained by the franchise for Rs 5 crore ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction.
