Virat Kohli gave a savage response to the boos and jeers by the Australian fans during Day 1’s play of the ongoing 4th India-Australia Test in Melbourne.

Indian superstar Virat Kohli shoulder bumped Australian batter Sam Konstas during Day 1 of the ongoing Boxing Day Test between India and Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, and for that he was also fined 20% of the match fees by the International Cricket Council (ICC). Kohli’s act against the debutant didn’t go down well with the Australian fans present at the iconic stadium in Melbourne, and the former India captain was booed by them every time he came near the boundary ropes. However, Kohli too gave them a savage response, and the video of his fresh act is now going viral on the internet.
In the viral clip from the first day’s play of the ongoing Boxing Day Test at MCG, Kohli can be seen saving a boundary during which his sunglasses fell over the boundary ropes. After passing the ball to Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, Kohli walked back to the boundary to collect his sunglasses. And during this period, the Australian crowd heavily booed and jeered him. But the right-handed batter responded by spitting out his chewing gum while staring at the crowd.

Konstas, who was part of the Australian team that won the U19 World Cup earlier this year, made his international debut for the Australian team on Thursday. He opened the innings with Usman Khawaja in place of Nathan McSweeney, who was dropped from the squad for the last two matches. In his maiden innings as an Australian cricketer, Konstas scored 60 runs from 65 balls. During his stay at the crease, the 19-year-old right-handed batter hammered six fours and two sixes. He took Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah to the cleaners and scored 34 runs in 33 balls bowled by him.
Konstas added 89 runs for the first wicket in 19.2 overs with Khawaja before Ravindra Jadeja trapped him in front of the wickets.
Konstas set the tone for a big total by the Australian team in the first innings, and after him, Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, and Pat Cummins also punished Indian bowlers and helped the hosts take the first innings total past the 470-run mark.
