In what seemed to be a major blow for the Mumbai Indians, their skipper Hardik Pandya had picked up an injury to his ankle after bowling just three balls against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League 2025 clash at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
After play stopped so the star all-rounder could receive medical attention, Pandya hit back in the very next ball as he removed the dangerous Abhishek Sharma, who looked set to get another big score on the board.
It remains to be seen if Pandya will be out of action for any games in the future as the medical experts assess the extent of his possible injury after the ongoing game.
