MS Dhoni stole the show with his charming presence and enthusiastically matched the steps with his fellow dancers.
It has hardly been a week since MS Dhoni broke the internet with his pout selfie. The former Indian captain has once again gone viral for a video that captured him dancing to a folk song along with his wife Sakshi and some friends. The clip is claimed to be from a wedding ceremony in Rishikesh. Joined by some local folk artists, Dhoni was seen grooving to the beats of the popular “pahadi” song– Gulabi Shahara. The former World Cup winning-skipper stole the show with his charming presence and enthusiastically matched the steps with his fellow dancers.
The video was shared on Instagram by DJ Paras who wrote in the caption– “Dance on Garhwali song by M.S Dhoni sir.” After the post surfaced on the internet, a few users, however, claimed the song to be a Kumaoni folk, not Garhwali. The clip soon went viral.
MS Dhoni fans showered their love in the comments section which was filled with red heart emojis. They were overwhelmed to watch Dhoni in a different avatar. “Born to be a Pookie, forced to be Thala,” quipped a fan. Another social media user labelled Dhoni as a “chill guy” who enjoys being around his family and friends.
Another person claimed, “Dhoni is neither Jharkhandi nor Bihari, he is a complete Pahadi and proudly connected to his roots. Sakshi herself is also Pahadi,” A person suggested a title for the video– “The Untold Moves Of MS Dhoni,” taking reference from his biopic that hit the theatres in 2016. Another fan humorously said, “We got Mahi dancing on Pahadi songs before GTA 6.”
Last week, MS Dhoni delivered the “Selfie Of The Year” as he was captured doing the trendy pout pose in a selfie with Sakshi. The picture was from a private concert of Salim-Sulaiman that took place in Meerut. Apart from Dhoni, his former India teammate RP Singh and his wife Devanshi also attended the musical event.
Fans can next expect to witness MS Dhoni’s gameplay during the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). With five IPL titles under his belt, Dhoni is one of the most successful skippers in the history of the competition. Dhoni was one of the five players retained by the Chennai Super Kings.
