Ahead of his much-awaited IPL return, MS Dhoni has been spotted at the Ranchi’s Maa Dewri Mandir.

After a wait of nearly a year, the legendary MS Dhoni will make his return to competitive cricket through IPL 2025 when he dons the iconic yellow jersey of the Chennai Super Kings.
Ahead of his much-awaited IPL return, the World Cup-winning captain was spotted paying a visit to a temple.
As per reports, Dhoni visited the Maa Dewri Mandir, located in his hometown Ranchi.
A video of Dhoni paying obeisance and offering his prayers at the temple has now gone viral on X (formerly Twitter). In the now-viral video, Dhoni is surrounded by fans trying to catch a glimpse of the legendary skipper.
Dhoni also visited the Maa Dewri Mandir in February last year, ahead of the IPL 2024 season.
After leading CSK to five IPL titles, Dhoni relinquished leadership duties of the franchise last year. The wicketkeeper-batter has been part of every IPL season since inception.
The 43-year-old Dhoni acknowledges that age is having its impact on his body.
“I am not as fit as I used to be. A lot of effort now needs to be there on what you are eating and I am doing very specific things to be fit for cricket. We are not fast bowlers, so our requirements are not that intense. So, what helps me in between eating the right thing and going to the gym, is playing a lot of sports,” Dhoni said during an event recently.
Dhoni was retained by CSK ahead of IPL 2025 mega auctions as an uncapped player.
