Afghanistan’s spin magician Rashid Khan came up with a terrific delivery to remove Sam Hain during an SA20 fixture between MI Cape Town and Paar Royals played on Monday. The MI Cape Town skipper’s quicker delivery did the trick as it outsmarted Hain to hit the top of the middle and off stump. Hain stepped away and wanted to make some room to allow himself for a shot but he ended up losing his wicket having scored 20 runs off 23 balls at Newlands in Cape Town. The dismissal, which took place in the 12th over, proved to be a crucial one for MI Cape Town who went on to win by 33 runs.

Rashid Khan picked up two wickets conceding 28 runs in his four overs against Paarl Royals. Rashid claimed his first wicket of the game sending Dayyaan Galiem back to the dressing room in the 10th over. Galiem was dismissed for three runs off six balls.
George Linde bagged three wickets in the game to guide MI Cape Town to a solid win against Paarl Royals in the SA20. Kagiso Rabada and Rashid Khan clinched two wickets each to ably support Linde. Chasing a target of 173, Paarl Royals reached 139 runs at the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. Mujeeb Ur Rahman scored a quickfire 34 off 21 balls but his gusty knock proved to be futile ultimately.
Earlier, batting first, MI Cape Town posted a formidable total of 172 at the loss of seven wickets. Reeza Hendricks emerged as the highest scorer for MI Cape Town producing a fine innings of 59 off 37 balls. His spectacular knock comprised eight boundaries and a maximum. Rassie van der Dussen also appeared to be in fine touch as he added 43 runs to the scoreboard. Dayyaan Galiem earned three wickets for Paarl Royals against MI Cape Town.
The defeat left Paarl Royals placed in the fourth spot in the SA20 standings. Having played two matches so far in the competition they have collected four points. Meanwhile, table-toppers MI Cape Town have nine points to their name from three games.
