During Team India’s photoshoot ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series against Australia, Sarfaraz Khan showcased his funny side by sharing something ‘weird’ he would like to do in Australia.

Rana, the Delhi pacer had asked Sarfaraz what would be one weird thing he would want to do in Australia and Sarfaraz had stolen the show with his response.

In a video uploaded by the BCCI’s official Instagram handle, Sarfaraz shared, ” Harshit ke saath, hum dono phone room mein rakke, baahar nikalna hai. Kyunki usko phone chalane ki boht aadat hai. Aur ghum gaye toh pata nai, apna location, apne aap. (Keeping both our phones inside, I want to go roam around with Harshit since he has the habit of using his phone a lot. If we get lost, we would have to figure our way back on our own).”

Both Rana and Sarfaraz are on their first tour abroad with the Indian side. The former is yet to make his international debut while the latter has played in six Tests so far, all of which were on home soil.

The Mumbai batter will likely be a sure-shot selection in India’s playing 11 for the opening Test in Perth while Rana is reportedly vying for the third pacer’s slot to accompany the likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj.

Many are excited to see the youngsters and how they respond to the tough challenges against the classy Australian side that has a world-class unit with both bat and ball.

India’s chances of securing a spot in the World Test Championship (WTC) final for the 2023-25 cycle are also at risk. Following the whitewash against New Zealand on home soil, India now has to win four and draw one out of the remaining five Tests which will be against Australia on their home turf. The side would need to get performances from all their players should they topple the Aussies for a third tour.

India begins the Border-Gavaskar series with the first Test being played at Perth on November 22. The second Test will be a pink ball Test which will be played in  Adelaide.
