Rajasthan Royals batter Yashasvi Jaiswal left Vaibhav Suryavanshi awestruck during a net practice session. The 23-year-old Indian cricketer has established himself as a top-level T20 batter in the last two years. He is currently preparing for his team’s upcoming match against the Delhi Capitals on April 16.

Ahead of the IPL clash, Yashasvi was seen honing his strokeplay in the nets. The star batter hit a variety of shots, sparking a few priceless reactions from his 14-year-old teammate who watched from the sidelines.

Rajasthan Royals’ official account has now shared the video on X (formerly Twitter). “You are who you surround yourself with,” they wrote.

The video captured Yashasvi Jaiswal all padded up for the training session. Vaibhav sat on a green box, outside the net as he watched his teammate put on a display. Yashasvi hit the second delivery so hard and high that the teenage batter’s mouth dropped open in astonishment. The 23-year-old performed several such strokes before walking off the crease.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi recently made headlines after taking on England speedster Jofra Archer in the nets. Rajasthan Royals shared the video on their official X handle. It captured Archer challenging the 14-year-old with his pace and precision. Suryavanshi was completely locked in during the training session as he displayed confidence. The young cricketer executed his shots with precision and used his timing to unleash some impressive strokes.

Rahul Dravid recently dismissed any ideas surrounding a possible debut for Vaibhav Suryavanshi in IPL 2025. In a pre-match press conference last month, Dravid explained how the team wanted the young batter to settle in before competing in an official game. “Let him get a feel of the environment, all these are great experiences for him, rather than putting him straight in front of the crowd,” he said. “It’s a part of the process we follow in grooming a player and if an opportunity arises we won’t be scared to play him if it is required,” he added.

Rajasthan Royals purchased Vaibhav Raghuvanshi for a fee of Rs 1.10 core at the IPL 2025 mega auction. He was the youngest cricketer ever to be bought at an auction. While the youngster’s debut seems unlikely this season, one must not forget Rajasthan Royals have never been afraid to throw their weight around youngsters. Given their history, a blockbuster debut could be on the cards for Suryavanshi in 2025.
