Jasprit ‘Boom Boom’ Bumrah has most definitely become a household name, as the pacer continues to excel and excite cricket fans all over the world.
The star bowler may be celebrating his 31st birthday today, but Bumrah is currently taking part in the pink-ball Test against Australia that got underway today at the Adelaide Oval. He served as India captain in the series opener in Perth as Rohit Sharma was unavailable due to the birth of his second child.

Well, Bumrah himself explained the reasoning behind the initials whilst speaking to Fox Cricket, stating that 1993 was the year he was born.
The Indian also mentioned that he initially had his eyes set on donning the No.12 jersey for India, but couldn’t do so and settled for 93.
“I was born in 1993, so that’s it,” he said, before adding, “When I came into the side I wanted the No 12 … But at that time, Yuvraj Singh had that number. So for his seniority I gave him that number… I chose this one,” he quipped.
India wil yet again rely on Bumrah’s magic to inspire them to turn around the match, after the Indian batters fell for a mere 180 runs within the first two sessions of play on Day 1.
