Vaibhav Suryavanshi scripted history on Monday as he became the youngest player to be picked up at the IPL Auction as the Rajasthan Royals drafted the teenager for a whopping Rs 1.1 Crore.
The 13-year-old from Bihar was made a crorepati by the Royals as they splurged Rs 1.1 Crore for the signing of the wunderkind.
The internet went into meltdown following the historic feat as fans and pundits alike took to social media platform X, formerly Twitter, to express their opinions on the signing of the teenage wonder.
One fan wrote, “VAIBHAV SURYAVANSHI has just landed an @IPL deal at 13! Talk about a childhood dream coming true! @rajasthanroyals are investing ₹1.1 Cr in this young gun, and we can’t wait to see him shine!”

Rajastahn Royals shared a clip from a popular movie in which a boy-wonder makes a splash in the sport with a video captioned, “Vaibhav Suryavanshi, all of 13 years old, entering the IPL!”
Vaibhav Suryavanshi was not even born, when his team RR won the inaugural title.
