Karnataka bowler Vijaykumar has been called up to don the famous blue jersey at South Africa in the four-match T20I series. The team is set to be led by skipper Suryakumar Yadav, with other debutants including Ramandeep Singh, and Yash Dayal being called up too.

Team India named the squad that will represent the men in blue in South Africa in a four-match T20I series beginning on the 8th of November.
The team is set to be led by skipper Suryakumar Yadav, with youngsters Ramandeep Singh, Yash Dayal and Vijaykumar Vyshak being given their maiden call-ups.
The 27-year-old has been part of multiple side with fabled histories including the Karnata side, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Gulbarg Mystics, Mangalore United and Mysore Warriors.

He made his T20 debut in Karnataka’s game against Services in November 2021 and has gone on to dismiss 42 batters in the 30 games he has played in the shortest format of the game.
Vyshak, the Karnataka pacer has represented the IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the 2023 and the 2024 seasons of the premier T20 competition and has managed to scalp 13 wickets in 11 games.
He has also managed to scalp 99 wickets in his 25 First Class fixtures, while also adding 34 removals to his kitty in List A cricket.

India will take on the Proteas at the Kingsmead in the opening T20I of the series on the 8th of November, followed by the second iteration of the series at St George’s Park in Port Elizabeth on the 10th.
The SuperSport Park Cricket Stadium in Centurion will play host to the third game of the tour on the 13th before the series concludes with the final game at the Wanderers Stadium on the 15th.
