Delhi Capitals are taking on Rajasthan Royals in the 32nd match of IPL 2025 on Wednesday (April 16), which is currently underway at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. In the second match of the ongoing season in Delhi, the Axar Patel-led side are playing with only three overseas players – Jake Fraser-McGurk, Tristan Stubbs and Mitchell Starc. According to IPL rules, teams are allowed to feature four foreign players in the XI, but DC have opted to play with only three because of an injury to Faf du Plessis.

The former South African captain didn’t feature in the last match against the Mumbai Indians as well due to an injury. The 2020 IPL losing finalists have included Donovan Ferreira in the impact players list, but he is unlikely to come in as a substitute.
On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals have included four overseas players – Shimron Hetmyer, Wanindu Hasaranga, Jofra Archer and Maheesh Theekshana.
In RR’s seventh league match of IPL 2025, captain Sanju Samson won the toss and invited Delhi Capitals to bat first.
