Sunrisers Hyderabad are up against Delhi Capitals in the 55th league match of IPL 2025 currently underway at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Monday (May 5). SRH captain Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to field first. For their 11th league match of the ongoing season, SRH have made three changes to the playing XI.
Star Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami, all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy and Sri Lankan star Kamindu Mendis are out of the team, and they are replaced by Sachin Baby, Abhinav Manohar and Ehsan Malinga, respectively. While Baby and Manohar are uncapped Indian batters, Malinga is a fast bowler from Sri Lanka.
Australian batter Travis Head is part of the impact player’s list, and in all likelihood, he will open the innings for the Men in Orange in the second half of the match.
Shami has been horribly out of form in IPL 2025, and so has Nitish, and that’s why they are dropped from the playing XI for the must-win match.
Delhi Capitals have also made one change to their playing XI. Former SRH fast bowler T Natarajan is making his IPL debut for DC. He replaced Mukesh Kumar, who is part of the impact player’s list along with Mohit Sharma and Ashutosh Sharma.
