England have taken a 2-0 lead in their ongoing five-match T20I series with West Indies. The Jos Buttler-led side will look to continue their winning momentum in the third T20I, which is slated to be played at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet on Thursday.
With Phil Salt contributing with a quickfire century, England notched an eight-wicket win in the series opener. They chased down 183 runs in just 16.5 overs, losing only two wickets along the way.
The West Indies once again batted first in the second T20I in Barbados. The hosts posted a target of 159 runs, riding on a 43-run knock by captain Rovman Powell. This time, Jos Buttler was the match-winner for England. The talismanic top-order batter scored 83 off 45 balls, hitting 8 fours and six maximums.
Liam Livingstone also chipped in with an impactful cameo and remained unbeaten on 21 runs. The West Indies will be desperate to bounce back in the next game to keep the home series alive.
