Vaibhav Suryavanshi could go past RCB’s Prayas Ray Barman to become the IPL’s youngest debutant.
It comes as no surprise that the spotlight fell on the young prodigy, Vaibhav Suryavanshi after he was picked up at the IPL mega auction 2025 with Rajasthan Royals paying Rs 1.1 crore on Monday.
The 14-year-old created history by becoming the youngest player to bag a contract in India’s premier franchise cricketing tournament. He is also the youngest player in T20s, representing Bihar in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament match against Rajasthan in Saurashtra, on November 23.
When it comes to actually getting on the field during the IPL, should Vaibhav get the nod from RR, he could go past RCB’s Prayas Ray Barman who became the youngest debutant in the tournament at 16 years old. Barman who represents Bengal in the domestic circuit made his debut back in 2019.
