Former Indian international and WC-winner Yuvraj Singh expressed his support and well wishes to ‘King’ Virat Kohli on the talisman batter’s birthday today on Tuesday.
One of the finest batters of the modern generation, Virat Kohli celebrates his 36th birthday today. For his incredible batting, innumerable records and several match-winning knocks, Kohli is considered one of the greatest batters to don the Indian jersey.
Kohli was an integral member of India’s triumphant squad at the T20 World Cup 2024. He was also a part of India’s ODI World Cup-winning squad in 2011, alongisde Yuvraj Singh himself.

As aforementioned, Kohli has come under fire following his abysmal series against New Zealand that has raised concerns about his role in the Indian Test squad.
Kohli scored a shameful 93 runs at 15.50 in the NZ series, whilst having racked up just 250 runs from 6 matches at 22.72 in 2024.
But, it isn’t merely time that has taken the toll, but rather the seeming lack of interest and investment into the long format of the game itself as well that seems to have had an effect on the talisman’s form in the long format of the game.
With the Border-Gavaskar series against Australia lurking in the shadows, fans and supporters alike shall be counting on Kohli to regain his confidence and rise from the ashes yet again as he has done throughout his career.
