Australia spinner Sophie Molineux has been ruled out from WPL 2025 due to a knee injury.
Australia allrounder Sophie Molineux has been ruled out from the third season of the Women’s Premier League due to a knee injury. Molineux was picked by Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the players auction ahead of WPL 2023 for Rs 30 lakh and went on to win the title with the franchise in what was her maiden season.
RCB, the defending champions, have named England allrounder Charlie Dean as the replacement and joins the franchise for Rs 30 lakh.
The 24-year-old Dean has so far played three Tests, 39 ODIs and 36 T20Is and has taken a combined 122 wickets in them.
Molineux played a key role in RCB’s title triumph last season. She took 12 wickets in 10 matches at an average of 15.42.
