Here’s a look at Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s top emerging players from the 2024 season of the Indian Premier League.

RCB played the IPL 2024 season under the leadership of Faf du Plessis and finished fourth in the points table to book a place in the playoffs. However, in the eliminator match played against the Rajasthan Royals in Ahmedabad, the Bengaluru-based franchise failed to deliver and got knocked out. In the mixed IPL 2024 season, apart from Virat Kohli, who topped the run scorers list, many other uncapped Indian players impressed with their performances for RCB both with the bat and ball.
Here’s a look at five uncapped RCB players who impressed with their performances in IPL 2024:
Yash Dayal: Yash Dayal was signed for Rs 5 crore by RCB in the IPL 2024 auction, and in the 14 matches for the franchise, the 26-year-old pacer from Allahabad picked up 15 wickets. He finished as the leading wicket-taker for the Bengaluru-based team and played a big role in RCB’s qualification to the playoffs. Impressed by his super show with the ball, RCB retained him ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction for Rs 5 crore.
Swapnil Singh: 33 years old Swapnil Singh was signed for Rs 20 lakh in the IPL 2024 auction, and the 33-year-old cricketer, who represents Uttarakhand in domestic cricket, got a chance to play in seven matches. He finished the season with six wickets to his name, and his economy rate was 8.86, which puts him ahead of Yash Dayal, Mohammed Siraj, Reece Topley, and Lockie Ferguson.
Vijaykumar Vyshak: Karnataka-based pacer Vijaykumar Vyshak, who recently earned his maiden India call-up for a four-match T20I series against South Africa, played four matches in IPL 2024 for RCB and picked up four wickets. The 27-year-old right arm medium pacer overall has 42 wickets to his name in 30 T20 matches played so far.
Mahipal Lomror: In 10 matches of IPL 2024 for RCB, 25-year-old Rajasthan batter Mahipal Lomror scored 125 runs for RCB with a strike rate of 183.82. He mostly got a chance to bat in lower middle order, and in a couple of matches the left-handed batter made his presence felt by scoring runs at quick pace and playing big shots at will.
Anuj Rawat: Wicketkeeper-batter Anuj Rawat scored 98 runs in five matches of IPL 2024 for RCB. The left-handed batter can open the innings, play in middle order, and as a finisher, which is why he will be in very high demand in the upcoming auction and RCB would like to sign him back.
