Yashasvi Jaiswal is playing for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025, and on Thursday (April 24) the left-handed batter entered his name in the history books by becoming the first cricketer in the world to hit six on the first ball of an innings of an IPL match on three occasions.
A total of eight batters have hit six on the first ball of the innings of an IPL match, but 23-year-old Jaiswal is the only cricketer to repeat the feat three times.
Jaiswal came out to open the innings for the Riyan Parag-led side against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Thursday at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, and on the first ball of the 206-run chase bowled by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, he hammered him for a big six.
