Star India and Rajasthan Royals batter Yashasvi Jaiswal was seen engaging in a heartfelt chat with Mitchell Starc after the thrilling Super Over finish in the game against the Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Wednesday, with Nitish Rana looking on.

Starc and Jaiswal have run into each other quite a few times over the past five months, a whopping 10 times in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

Jaiswal and Starc had developed a love-hate relationship back then, with the former’s sledging raising quite a few eyebrows.

“You’re coming too slow,” Jaiswal told Starc in the first Test of the tournament in Perth. Since then, the latter dismissed Jaiswal thrice.

After the nail-biting match on Wednesday, the star Indian batter caught up with Starc, who was speaking to his former Kolkata Knight Riders teammate Rana.

“Legend, how are you? Very well done, very well bowled,” Jaiswal told the Aussie pacer. Watch the video here:

On Wednesday, Starc bowled two brilliant overs under pressure as Delhi pulled off a heist by stealing a thrilling Super Over victory over the Rajasthan Royals.

The ice-cold Starc (1/36 in 4 overs) held his nerve during a tense final over to defend nine runs as Delhi forced the match into a Super Over when it seemed the Royals had all but won it.

Starc then bowled a tremendous Super Over, conceding just two fours. He was backed by two razor-sharp run-outs as Rajasthan managed just 11 runs.

KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs then kept their nerves in check, slamming a boundary and a six to take the hosts to their first victory at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Chasing 189, Jaiswal (51 off 37) and Rana (51 off 28) had the Royals cruising, but Delhi’s bowlers turned the tide with a roaring late surge, tying the match at 188/4.

The late drama followed a solid batting effort by Delhi, built on Abishek Porel’s composed 49 and explosive cameos from captain Axar Patel (34 off 14) and Stubbs (34 not out off 18), lifting them to a competitive 188/5 after being asked to bat.

RR play their next match against the Lucknow Super Giants on Saturday, April 19, in Jaipur.
