We did see Afghanistan bat with intent in the last session on Day 3 and we expect no different from them on Day 4. They’ll be eager to wipe this deficit quickly and then look to score quickly. Zimbabwe on the other hand, will hope they can get an early wicket as that will give them belief of getting back into the contest. The first session is an important one. Stay tuned.
A flawless day with the bat for the visitors sees them in the ascendancy! The duo of Shah and Shahidi have amassed over 300 between them and got the deficit down to just the 161 runs. Despite the slow going in this Test, we can well see a result being forced. The rain gods have been kind to us so far and we hope it remains that way.
Zimbabwe had their chances. There were a couple of dropped catches but the best chance for them was when the conditions were overcast and they took the new ball but made no amends with it. After that, it was all Afghanistan through and through. Zimbabwe are tired, in their minds and their legs too but they have to grind harder to get the breakthrough. Let’s hope we get some equal entertainment on Day 4. Can Zimbabwe break this partnership in the first hour or more milestones will be made by Afghanistan? Join us at 8 am GMT and earlier to find out. Cheers!
Runs galore on Day 3 as Afghanistan have gone whole day without losing a wicket. What a day! What a partnership. Shahidi and Shah have added more than 350 and trail just by 161 runs. However, overall if the game situation is concern, it looks like tha game is heading for the draw and slightly tilted towards the visitors side.
